We Move In To Our New Place

Today, we officially move in to our new house. We are so happy!

Actually few days ago, we‘ve spent few nights here, but we felt something was missing. There was no internet. We can’t live without it.

Today, the internet at our new place is activated. Joseph needs it to check his important email and update news, and I need it to run my “business”, blogging, etc. So, from today onward, we’ll stay here.

Finally….

Bon Odori Carnival 2008

Am I in Japan?
Hahaha..... No no, This photo was taken in Penang.
There was Bon Odori Carnival at Esplanade, Penang on 19 July 2008. Bon Odori is a traditional Japanese festival with dance and drum performances held to welcome the homecoming of ancestral spirits.

It's organized by the Japanese Expatriate & Immigrant's Society in Malaysia. This festival is the Japanese counterpart of the Chinese's Hungry Ghost Festival. We could enjoy hordes of Japanese food, drinks, art and dance in this festival.

Most of the Japanese wore Yukata to the festival. The Yukata is a casual form of kimono that is also frequently worn after bathing at traditional Japanese inns. Thought their use is not limited to after-bath wear, Yukata literally means bath(ing) clothes.

We need to buy a voucher to purchase all the foods and drinks

I Miss Him

It has been 4 days since Joseph went to Japan for his company trip. I stay at home with mother in law.

Usually I get up in the morning and prepare breakfast for him. At the evening, I wait for him come back from office, and I feel very happy to see him home.

These 4 days, I didn’t need to do my responsibility as a wife. I should be happy for that, in fact I’m not. I miss Joseph; miss my breakfast preparation for him. And in the evening, I have no body to wait for. There is no tired face and smile for me.

I wept badly when I sent him to airport and couldn’t stop my tears.

I read a pregnant book; it says that pregnant women usually become more emotional and easily cry. Maybe I wept badly because I’m pregnant, or our baby feels very sad to know his daddy won’t be here for 6 days.

60 words

Speedtest

Am I fast enough? 60words per minute.

With the speed test you can test your typing speed. Of course you will not get an 100% accurate result, but at least a clue where you are.

After the evaluation you can include your results in your blog or where ever you want, so your friends can see how fast you type.

Kitchen Cabinet Installation

First of all, we’d like to thank our brother Paul (Zhongyi), brother Esmond (Zhiyang) and sister Hock Kian for helping in the kitchen cabinet installation.

As you know, I have a big tummy, not convenient to squat down or sit on the floor. I can’t move around as gracefully as before.

Brother Paul is a very strong young man, he helped me to carry all 4sets of cabinets from the car, put on the trolley and pushed to our new house. They started to build the cabinet. Brother Esmond is a patient one, and sister Hock Kian gave so much support to them.

I bought 2types of cabinet, each 2sets. Many mistakes were made for the 1st set (it took about 30minutes), but the 2nd set they were very pro already, just took few minutes.

You see! They were very happy to get all done. Good job, guys!
(They said, next time if anybody wants to do installation can ask them. Just treat them their favourite meal. Hahaha….)

Joseph was working, so he couldn’t help. He was very happy when I told him that they help me so much.

Thanks for your time, energy, laugh and love. We’re grateful to have you as a very understanding and helpful brother and sister. God bless you…

Petrol Price Increase 40 Percent

Alas! Our car petrol tank is empty.
“I’ve told you yesterday to fill up the petrol!” I said to my husband.

“I didn’t expect that government increase the petrol price suddenly!”

These blaming conversations may happen yesterday. Wife will blame her husband, or a husband may blame his wife, if your petrol tank is empty.

Malaysia petrol price, up by 78cents by 5 June 2008. Increase 40% from RM1.92 to RM2.70/liter.

Many people became impatient, hot temper, while queuing for the petrol. I heard from the radio that other city in Malaysia; there were 3-4km long queue for the petrol. In Penang, 1km queue is long enough to make whole island traffic jam.

We quite peevish to see people pumped for few liters (below 10liters) and willing spent their time in such long queue.

Anyhow, petrol price increase means everything will increase soon. Hope petrol price won’t
increase the crime.

Muah Muah, Kiss Kiss, Muah Muah, Kiss....

This evening Joseph(my husband) and I had a dinner to celebrate the U-care students farewell at Hidden Recipe Restaurant. They are students who study at USM(University Science Malaysia).

Joseph every 2weeks once conducts a bible study at their hostel. This is how we getting know them. So, before they go back to their own hometown after the graduation, we would like to have a simple gathering dinner with them.

Total of the people who came were 18people included us. Although not all of them are graduated students, we did have fun.

Before we went off, the students wanted to give Joseph an appreciation-their cute and famous slogan. Joseph tried to stop them, as many people in the restaurant will look at us. But they still did it innocently.

Their slogan: "*-*-***-****-** Muah muah, Kiss Kiss, Muah Muah, Kiss..."
(*=clap)

Anyhow, we love it!
All the best to you. Remember God in everything you do.
