Black Friday Shopping Information

What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving in the United States. This year Black Friday will fall on Friday, November 28, 2008.

Black Friday is traditionally (and mistakenly) referred to as the largest “brick and mortar” (physical locations only) retail sales day of the year. Most don’t realize that the day is also one of the largest online retail sales days too! Although hitting the stores on foot on Friday might be fun and adventurous, it can also cause headaches, especially if you miss out on a deal! It’s also impossible to visit all the stores that you want to before the good deals are gone. I still remember a brother of mine; he went out early morning about 3.00a.m with his friends to queue before the store open.

But now, you need not to worry about queuing in a very early morning, because I want to share with you about blackfridayscans.com.
From this website you can see a complete list of all black friday ad scans for 2008. You will be shown the pdf or zip files of the black Friday advertisements before you get them in your local newspaper. The numbers to the right of the store name are the date the black Friday advertisement was posted on this site. If there is not a date for the store you are interested in, that means the black Friday ad has not been posted yet.

It’s a good way to save my money when I plan my Christmas shopping through blackfridayscans.com. I can save a trip to the store on one the busiest shopping days. One more advantage is they offer email alerts to let you know when new black Friday ads have been posted. They try to make it a consumer friendly site that is useful for planning our holiday shopping.
